PASTOR GARRY MOORE

In the summer of 1997, God spoke and prompted into the heart of Pastor Garry Moore to launch out and begin the Evangelistic Outreach Christian Center. Later that fall on October 19th 1997, EOCC became a reality. Pastor Moore conducted the first service in their home, his wife Carmen, their three teenage children, and their niece were present.

Three weeks later Pastor Moore and Mrs. Moore made the decision to go public and conduct services in the project housing authority building. They wanted to give the public the opportunity to attend a worship service in a facility other than their home. Somehow the word was out and for the first service open to the public, 35 people were in attendance. E.O.C.C. has continued to grow through the years, people from different backgrounds getting saved, young and old. People once bound by Drugs are now set free, people who were once bound by alcohol have been delivered by the power of God. Those who were once trapped by a life of promiscuity are now saved single and satisfied with Jesus living in victory. On April 15th Easter Sunday 2001, Pastor Moore, first lady Moore and the E.O.C.C. congregation celebrated the opening of their new Church facility with a seating capacity of 400. E.O.C.C. is a place where everyone is welcomed regardless of nationality, color or culture. The goal is to make an impact in the community and abroad through the ministry of outreach, with a radio ministry that reaches into four states (Beacon of Light). E.O.C.C. is definitely on the cutting edge of spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ in practical ways that people can relate to.
