God allows us to experience His favor and goodness while we're in the toughest of times. His grace is sufficient to sustain us in what seems to be an impossible situation. When you feel like you're at a breaking point - God's grace is sufficient to sustain you!
Chapter 1: First Things First
No one comes into the world having it all together; knowing and understanding all things. Life itself is a non-ending learning process, and the best students are those who learn from the many experiences they encounter during their time here on earth.
First of all let's establish something, and that something is ... life does not work without God. In fact, life doesn't even make sense without God.
God, in His marvelous wisdom created and designed this thing called life, along with certain laws and principals that have been locked into nature and the whole life experience. For example, the law of sowing and reaping. It is an established fact that if you sow corn seeds into the ground you will reap ears of corn on stalks. That's not only true in farming (the agricultural world), but it's also true in ones personal life.
When you sow evil you reap evil, when you sow good you reap good. The bible says in Galatians chapter 6 verse 7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. So what you sow is what you will reap! II Corinthians chapter 9 verse 6 lets you know that the way you sow is the same way that you will reap!
If you read on down in Galatians chapter 6 verse 9, it goes on to say, and let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.
That means, while you're waiting for something good to happen, you will experience some tough times while waiting for good results. but Paul says don't get weary, just keep on keeping on because your time and your season is coming if you don't give up and faint in the process. Why? Because it's a set principal that happens without fail.
Well, in contrast through the awesome infinite wisdom of God, He uses the trials of life to teach, build, grow, strengthen and better us for his unique, sovereign, divine purpose.
That's why we should all learn to appreciate the mountain top. Because the valley experience is not far behind! There are things in the valley that you won't find on the mountain...
For some reason pressure brings out the best in you. When under pressure you get some things that you could never get by any other means, because God has a way of taking all the negative stuff that happens to you to get powerful and positive results through you.
You may not see it at the time while you're in the midst of your dilemma or struggle, but when it is all over you will be able to look back and say, 'going through that made me a stronger, more loving, caring, understanding person, a more patient, more settled, more wiser, and humble person.' God will allow you to benefit from that which could have destroyed you - HE MAKES YOU STRONGER!
There is one thing you must learn in life and that is; there is no explanation why some things happen and you have to learn to get over some stuff. You must make a clear cut decision to not park your life in a place of wondering ... why did this and how could this. And maybe it shouldn't have, but it did, and you can't change the past, but you can deal with the present and determine how you're going to handle your future. God will help you to accomplish this.
Thank God for the bible (His Word), because we can look at the lives of the people in the bible who God used mightily and see how He uses trials and trauma to make you better when you allow Him to (because you have to allow God to use that bad experience) and so many people fail to understand that, which is a key point to your growth and success...
